UI components were maintained separately in each product. This created larger codebases, slower builds, complicated dependency management, CSS conflicts, style leakage, and repeated component development across teams.

Build a cross-product enterprise design system with consistent APIs and user experience, flexible theming, a low barrier to building complex interfaces, and an architecture that could scale without slowing down product builds.

Abstracted Ant Design into a layered system of design tokens, a shared theme provider, enterprise components, and product-level composition.
Defined component APIs and a CSS-in-JS architecture that supported customization without leaking product styles.
Created documentation and shared workflow standards so other engineers could adopt and extend the system consistently.

Delivered 48 reusable enterprise components.
Established adoption across 3+ commercial products and 1 internal project.
Created a consistent UI foundation that other engineers could extend for future features and products.
